How do you unlock the Katana?
The Katana is a melee weapon added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in Season 3 (Season Three Reloaded), described as having high damage with moderate range and moderate attack speed. Alongside standard slashes, it has a charged heavy attack: the player holds to charge the strike and releases it to trigger a locked one-hit kill animation. It was distributed free as the Mastery Reward of the Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Navigator Challenge Event.

Leveling the Katana
A close-quarters melee secondary that chains quick slashes and offers a high-risk charged heavy attack for a guaranteed one-hit kill animation.
Weapon XP comes from kills and objective play with the Katana equipped, up to Level 30. Leveling it unlocks its attachments and feeds every camo challenge below.
