What We Track,
And Why.
Our policies, written so you can actually read them. Pick a document below — switch any time without losing your place.
Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, and why.
Boss Services uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Here’s the breakdown.
01 What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (like staying logged in) and help the site understand how it’s being used. Similar technologies — local storage and pixels — work the same way and are covered by this policy.
02 Why we use cookies
We use cookies to keep the site secure and working, to remember your preferences and cart, to keep you signed in, and to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You’re always in control of non-essential cookies (see §5).
03 Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function: login/session, security, cart, and checkout. These can’t be switched off.
- Functional — remember preferences such as your selected currency and consent choices.
- Analytics / performance — help us understand traffic and how pages are used, in aggregate, so we can improve the experience.
- Marketing — measure and improve our ads on Meta and Google, including showing our ads to past visitors. On by default; you can opt out at any time.
04 Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties whose tools appear on our site: our analytics provider, our payment processors (Stripe and NOWPayments) during checkout, and embedded widgets such as Trustpilot reviews and Discord. These providers process data under their own cookie and privacy policies.
Our first-party boss_meta_session cookie links your browser to its privacy-choice record and is retained for up to 90 days. The choice record is retained for up to 100 days to help enforce withdrawal before delayed purchase measurement. This identifier is not sent to Meta and remains available after marketing refusal so we can respect that refusal for an earlier checkout.
05 Managing your consent
Analytics and marketing cookies are on by default. You can opt out of either at any time with the cookie settings below, and browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control are treated as an opt-out. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site can’t function without them.
Anonymous public-page counts
We also keep daily public-page totals on Boss without tracking cookies or visitor IDs, independently of your cookie choices. These totals are not sent to Google or Meta and are retained for up to 90 days. They do not identify people or reconstruct individual browsing histories. Browser privacy signals are honored. Use the choice below to exclude your browser from future counts; it stores only a yes/no privacy preference.
06 Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site, such as login and checkout.
07 How long cookies last
Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period or until you delete them. Each cookie’s lifetime depends on its purpose — security and session cookies are short-lived, while preference cookies last longer.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our site and tools change. Material updates will be reflected by the “last updated” date on this page.
