How do you unlock the Ballistic Knife?
The Ballistic Knife is a returning Black Ops melee weapon in Black Ops 7, functioning as a spring-action knife launcher that fires retrievable blades as projectiles for ranged eliminations against unarmored targets. Fired blades can be picked up from the environment to restock, or refilled via the Scavenger perk. It takes no attachments but can be leveled up and taken into Weapon Prestige to earn universal melee Prestige Camos.

Leveling the Ballistic Knife
A melee weapon that can also fire its blade as a high-damage ranged projectile, eliminating unarmored enemies on contact.
Weapon XP comes from kills and objective play with the Ballistic Knife equipped, up to Level 30. Leveling it unlocks its attachments and feeds every camo challenge below.
Real-world basis: Ballistic knife (spring-ejected blade device).
