How do you unlock the FG42?
The FG42 is a full-auto assault rifle added in Black Ops 7 Season 5 (July 2026), unlocked free as the HVT reward on Page 3 of the Season 5 Battle Pass. Sources describe it as a well-rounded rifle with high damage and controllable recoil that rewards accuracy at medium range, balanced by slower handling and a short open-bolt delay. Its Prestige attachment is the MFS Ambilateral Stock, which further improves recoil control.

Leveling the FG42
A well-rounded full-auto assault rifle with high damage and controllable recoil, strongest at medium range.
Weapon XP comes from kills and objective play with the FG42 equipped, up to Level 37. Leveling it unlocks its attachments and feeds every camo challenge below.
Real-world basis: FG 42 (Fallschirmjägergewehr 42).
