How MW3 (2011) camos work

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) has 50 base-game multiplayer weapons across nine categories. Thirty-three of those—the assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, sniper rifles and shotguns—receive 11 weapon-level camos, ending with Gold at Weapon Level 31; Winter and Marine are separate legacy special finishes. There are no DLC weapons.

The MW3 (2011) weapon roster

The weapon list covers all 50 weapons by class, each with its multiplayer availability up to the Level 80 cap, role and camo eligibility.

The original game released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii, with an OS X port later. Xbox 360 copies are backward-compatible on newer Xbox consoles; there is no native PS4 or PS5 remaster, and multiplayer is not cross-platform. Platform services, matchmaking conditions and legacy entitlement behavior can vary, so the guide focuses on original final-patch mechanics rather than current activity claims.
