Black Ops 7 runs three progression tracks side by side. Your account level unlocks weapons, equipment and killstreaks, then rolls into Prestige. Each weapon has its own weapon level, which unlocks that gun’s attachments and feeds its camo challenges. And every camo sits on a per-weapon ladder: clear the base (military) challenges first, then the special camos, then the mastery tier.
Camo progress is tracked separately in each mode, so a “full completion” means clearing the same weapon mode by mode. The camo directory lists every challenge exactly as it appears in game.
The mastery ladder, mode by mode
Finish a weapon’s base and special camos in one mode and its mastery challenges open: gold-tier for the single weapon, class mastery across the weapon’s category, then the mode-wide mastery camo, with Nexus Horizon stacking on top when every mode is complete.

What is the mastery camo in Black Ops 7?
Each mode has its own game-wide mastery camo — Singularity (MP), Infestation (ZM), Genesis (CP), Ethereal Reflection (WZ). Completing all 4 unlocks Nexus Horizon, the secret ultra camo.
How long does Nexus Horizon take?
Plan on 30+ hours per mode to finish a mastery camo (roughly 30 weapons each), and 100+ hours for the full Nexus Horizon grind across all 4 modes — less with Double XP and a tuned loadout.
How do you unlock camos in Black Ops 7?
Clear each weapon’s base (military) challenges to open its special camos, then its mastery challenges. Progress counts separately per mode, and the tracker shows what is left per weapon.
