How do you unlock Platinum in Modern Warfare 4?

To unlock Platinum on a Modern Warfare 4 weapon, first earn Gold on every weapon in its class; for Assault Rifles that is all eight. Then complete the weapon's Platinum challenge, which follows its class: headshots for Assault Rifles, hipfire kills for Shotguns and prone kills for Marksman and Sniper Rifles.

What must you complete before Platinum?

Gold on every weapon in the same class: 8 Assault Rifles, 5 SMGs, 2 Shotguns, 3 LMGs, 3 Marksman Rifles, 3 Sniper Rifles, 4 Pistols or 4 Launchers. The knife is its own class.

What is the Platinum challenge for each class?

Assault Rifles: headshots. SMGs: kills from behind. Shotguns: hipfire kills. LMGs: kills without dying. Marksman and Sniper Rifles: prone kills. Pistols: kills from behind. Launchers: kills without taking damage. Melee: kills without dying. Counts vary by weapon and are higher in DMZ.

Available when Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026. The unlock rules come from Call of Duty's October 19, 2026 progression post and the per-weapon values from pre-release footage; we confirm them in game at launch.

What's the fastest way to unlock Platinum?

Get Gold on every weapon in the class first, then build the loadout around the class challenge. The Han 86 needs 50 headshots in Multiplayer or 100 in DMZ.
