How many weapons are in Modern Warfare 4?
MW4 launches with 33 weapons — 24 primaries, 8 secondaries and a melee weapon — alongside more than 500 attachments and 28 Apex Attachments. The full named roster is confirmed at the Open Beta and at launch.
What are Apex Attachments in MW4?
Apex Attachments are 28 special attachments that transform how a weapon behaves — for example turning a semi-auto shotgun toward pump-action. They do not use one of your normal attachment slots, so you can run an Apex Attachment on top of a full build.
Which MW4 weapons are confirmed so far?
Six MW4 weapons are officially named so far, out of 33 at launch: the five Vault Signature Weapons — Kastov 762 (assault rifle), ISO Nightshade (SMG), Rezi 12 (shotgun), Oris 8.6 (marksman rifle) and Combat Knife — plus the returning, now-destructible Riot Shield. Guns like the VEL 46 (MP7), PPSh-41 and FiNN LMG have been shown in official trailers but are not name-confirmed yet.
What are the MW4 Vault Signature Weapons?
The five Vault Signature Weapons are the premium weapons in the Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition: the Kastov 762 assault rifle, the ISO Nightshade SMG, the Rezi 12 shotgun, the Oris 8.6 marksman rifle and the Combat Knife. Each ships with its own Blueprint, and they are among the first MW4 weapons Activision has named.
Does MW4 have classic Modern Warfare weapons?
Yes. Infinity Ward is remastering several classic Modern Warfare weapons for day one, and the PPSh-41 joins the Modern Warfare arsenal for the first time.
Is the Riot Shield different in MW4?
Yes. In MW4 the Riot Shield takes damage and can break entirely over time, and no longer grants full immunity — a notable change from previous games.
When will the full MW4 weapon list be confirmed?
