How do you unlock and level the ISO Nightshade in MW4?
In the Beta: Immediate access. The launch unlock level appears in game on October 23, 2026.
A full-auto 9×19mm SMG built for close-quarters mobility, control and a high rate of fire. Its Vault blueprint is La Sombra Venenosa. The ISO Trace Apex Attachment pairs RFID ammunition with an optic that tracks a target after a hit. Infinity Ward reduced several damage ranges and its headshot multiplier in the August 22 Beta update.

Which ISO Nightshade challenges should you work on first?
Level the ISO Nightshade through its Military camos first; the same levels open its three Special challenges. Gold follows once all eleven are done: 15 eliminations in one Multiplayer match or 100 in one DMZ match. Platinum then needs Gold on every weapon in the SMG class, and Harmonic Break needs Platinum on all 33 weapons.
Does ISO Nightshade camo progress count in every MW4 mode?
Yes. Call of Duty confirmed on October 19, 2026 that each weapon has one camo track shared by Multiplayer and DMZ, and Warzone joins it in Season 1. DMZ counts non-player enemies, so its Special challenges ask for more kills. Mastery camos are the exception: each mode has its own three, which open after Divergence.
