Completionist

- Gold — Get 15 Player Kills in a single match. In DMZ: get 100 Enemy Kills in a single DMZ match. Before this: Complete all Military and Special camos on this weapon.
- Platinum — Get 50 Headshots against Players. In DMZ: . Before this: Earn Gold on all 8 Assault Rifles.

Weapon Prestige
- Pyroclast — Earned at Weapon Prestige 1, Level 1.
- Pyroclast Terminus — Earned at Weapon Prestige 1, Max level.
- Pyroclast Scatter — Earned at Weapon Prestige Master, Level 150.
- Pyroclast Cascade — Earned at Weapon Prestige Master, Level 250.
How do you unlock and level the Axion in MW4?
In the Beta: Default Loadout only. The launch unlock level appears in game on October 23, 2026.
Available through a starting Default Loadout in the Beta. Activision notes that this loadout-only weapon does not expose Gunsmith or Apex Attachment progression during the test.
In the Beta it had 67 weapon levels; pre-release menus show 69 for launch. Apex Attachment: Axion Crusader (not unlockable in the Beta).
Which Axion challenges should you work on first?
Level the Axion through its Military camos first; the same levels open its three Special challenges. Gold follows once all eleven are done: 15 eliminations in one Multiplayer match or 100 in one DMZ match. Platinum then needs Gold on every weapon in the Assault Rifle class, and Harmonic Break needs Platinum on all 33 weapons.
Does Axion camo progress count in every MW4 mode?
Yes. Call of Duty confirmed on October 19, 2026 that each weapon has one camo track shared by Multiplayer and DMZ, and Warzone joins it in Season 1. DMZ counts non-player enemies, so its Special challenges ask for more kills. Mastery camos are the exception: each mode has its own three, which open after Divergence.
