The SVT-40 unlocks at Level 1 in Call of Duty: World at War (2008). This ten-round semi-automatic rifle favors accurate follow-up shots across medium and long sightlines. Its mild recoil and early availability make it the cleanest introduction to the Rifle class, although missed shots are less forgiving when an automatic weapon closes the distance.
