Call of Duty: World at War Camos Explained
No. The original Call of Duty: World at War (2008) multiplayer shipped without selectable weapon camos. Planned finishes were cut before release. Primary-weapon Expert headshot challenges award XP only; the Level 12 Camouflage perk hides a player from Recon Planes, and Zombies Pack-a-Punch appearances do not transfer to multiplayer.
Browse weapon attachmentsReviewed July 26, 2026. Weapon ranks and Marksman requirements were checked against original World at War multiplayer rank and challenge tables plus contemporaneous platform guides; historical models were cross-checked against museum and firearm-reference records. Loadout advice is editorial. Multiplayer only — not Campaign, Zombies, Call of Duty: WWII (2017), or later games.
Does World at War have weapon camos?
Reference databases preserve unused camo-name entries such as Reich, Siberian, Royal, Yankee, Rising Sun, Gold, Blood, Olive, Setting Sun, Jewel and Ocean. They are cut content, never shipped as selectable retail multiplayer camos, and have no legitimate unlock requirements.
What do Expert headshot challenges unlock?
Primary-weapon Expert I, II and III require 25, 75 and 150 headshots and award 100, 500 and 1,000 XP. They do not unlock skins. Pistols use class-wide Pistol Expert milestones at 5, 15 and 35 headshots for 50, 100 and 250 XP, also with no camo reward.
For most primary weapons, Marksman kill challenges are the separate track that unlocks attachments. Every threshold and exception is listed in the weapon guide.
The PTRS-41 has a fixed Sniper Scope and no attachment chain. Pistols have no individual attachments and instead use class-wide Pistol Marksman challenges for XP.
World at War camo questions, separated
Is the Camouflage perk a weapon camo?
Camouflage is a Tier 2 perk unlocked at Level 12. It keeps the player off enemy Recon Planes; it does not change a weapon's appearance, suppress gunfire, or unlock a skin.
Does Pack-a-Punch count as a multiplayer camo?
On Der Riese, the engraved or chrome appearance on an upgraded Zombies weapon comes from Pack-a-Punch. It is tied to that Zombies session and does not become a selectable multiplayer finish.
Can you unlock Gold camo in World at War?
No. Gold is one of the unused camo-name entries, not a retail unlock. Expert challenges, reaching Level 65 and entering Prestige do not unlock a Gold weapon finish in World at War multiplayer.
What about PC custom camos and mods?
Custom PC servers and mods can add replacement textures or skins. Those files are community modifications, not retail multiplayer progression and not an account unlock.
