How does the M1 Garand play in World at War?

RoleHard-hitting semi-automatic rifle
Real-world basisAmerican M1 Garand service rifle; the scoped form resembles an M1C
StrengthsStrong shot placement rewards controlled medium- and long-range play; Sniper Scope creates a distinct precision option at 150 kills
TradeoffsSmallest magazine in the Rifle class; Missed shots and reload timing are costly under close pressure
AttachmentsFlash Hider — 25 kills; Bayonet — 75 kills; Rifle Grenade — 100 kills; Sniper Scope — 150 kills; Flash Hider is the least disruptive general setup; use the scope only when the map supports long lanes
Challenge noteExpert I-III use 25, 75 and 150 headshots for 100, 500 and 1,000 XP. They unlock no weapon camo.
Use tipCount shots and move into cover before the clip runs empty. The rifle works best when you avoid rushed reloads in the open.
Compared withIt carries fewer rounds than the SVT-40 and Gewehr 43 but offers Bayonet, Rifle Grenade and Sniper Scope routes.

No multiplayer weapon camos — Expert headshot challenges award XP, not skins. See the camo, perk and Pack-a-Punch distinctions.
