The TAR-21 unlocks at Level 20 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It combines strong assault-rifle damage with a faster firing pace than the SCAR-H. It performs well in close-to-medium engagements where sustained pressure matters. The tradeoff is more noticeable recoil, so it rewards controlled bursts rather than holding the trigger across a long sightline. Its camo track finishes at Fall (250 headshots with this weapon).
