How do you unlock the Kiparis?

The Kiparis is the classified SMG: buy every other SMG first, then purchase it for 2,000 CoD Points; Level 41 is the earliest that condition can be met. It combines a broad attachment menu with a 20-round magazine, so the build must either manage capacity or commit to a specialized close-range role. It accepts all 14 standard store camos plus Gold from 14th Prestige.

RoleClassified modular 20-round SMG
Real-world basisRussian OTs-02 Kiparis submachine gun
StrengthsBroadest build flexibility among the compact 20-round SMGs; Dual Wield, Grip, optics, Suppressor and Extended Mags are all available
TradeoffsRequires buying the other eight SMGs first; Twenty standard rounds can end before a second clean engagement
Attachments and setupExtended Mags is the direct capacity fix; Grip or an optic supports aimed fire, while Dual Wield commits to point-blank use; Suppressor is available, unlike on the PM63
Challenge noteBO1 weapon challenges are separate from camouflage. Camos are bought per eligible primary with earned CoD Points rather than unlocked through a weapon challenge.
Camo tipChoose one identity for the class. Build for aimed control and capacity, or Dual Wield for a tight route; trying to cover every distance wastes the weapon's attachment flexibility.
Compared withIt has more build options than the PM63 and Skorpion, but the MP5K and Spectre begin with 30 rounds and require no class buyout.

Kiparis — common questions

What level does the Kiparis unlock at in Black Ops 1?

The Kiparis is a classified weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops — buy every other weapon in its class first, making Level 41 the earliest possible rank. It then costs 2,000 CoD Points. The level cap is 50, and prestige is up to 15.

How do camos work on the Kiparis?

Camos here are bought, not earned: every standard camo costs 250 CoD Points per weapon once camo purchases unlock at level 22, with no challenges or headshots attached. Gold is the exception — it unlocks for purchase at 14th Prestige and costs 50,000 CoD Points per weapon. These are earned multiplayer CoD Points from BO1's economy, not the premium COD Points used in newer games. Each camo is bought per weapon, so buying one for the Kiparis only unlocks it there.
