How Black Ops 1 camos unlock
Camos here are bought, not earned: every standard camo costs 250 CoD Points per weapon once camo purchases unlock at level 22, with no challenges or headshots attached. Gold is the exception — it unlocks for purchase at 14th Prestige and costs 50,000 CoD Points per weapon. These are earned multiplayer CoD Points from BO1's economy, not the premium COD Points used in newer games. Checked and current — July 2026.
All 14 standard camos cost 3,500 CP on one primary; adding Gold makes 53,500 CP. Across all 31 eligible primaries, the standard set costs 108,500 CP, Gold costs 1,550,000 CP, and all 15 purchasable finishes total 1,658,500 CP.
Gold Prestige camo
Gold is a Prestige-gated store camo, not a challenge mastery reward. Reach 14th Prestige, return to Level 22 for the camo menu, then spend 50,000 earned CoD Points for each eligible primary weapon.
The original Black Ops released on PS4 and PS5 on July 9, 2026. PS4 and PS5 support cross-generation multiplayer with each other; PlayStation does not support multiplayer with non-PlayStation platforms. This guide documents the original multiplayer unlock system, while online access and port-specific service behavior can change.
