The MP40 unlocks at Level 10 in Call of Duty: World at War (2008). It pairs a slower automatic rhythm with strong close-range damage and a roomy 32-round magazine. It is easy to control through short fights and becomes a 64-round sustained-fire weapon with Dual Magazines, though PC and console balance values are not identical. World at War multiplayer has no selectable weapon camos; Expert headshot challenges award XP only.
