The BAR unlocks at Level 4 in Call of Duty: World at War (2008). It combines strong bullets with a slow automatic rhythm and a compact 20-round magazine. It works best when treated as a deliberate medium- to long-range automatic rifle rather than a spray weapon; accurate bursts matter more than raw volume. World at War multiplayer has no selectable weapon camos; Expert headshot challenges award XP only.
