The M9 unlocks at Level 46 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It is the capacity-focused handgun in MW2 multiplayer. Its 15-round magazine and low recoil allow several fast follow-up shots, making it forgiving when a primary reload is not possible. It does not reach as well as the USP .45, so it is better treated as a close-to-mid backup than a pocket marksman weapon. It does not take camo.
