Ocean is one of the twelve standard per-weapon camouflage challenges in Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer. Its exact objective depends on weapon class: Assault rifles: 10 rescue kills · SMGs: 10 rescue kills · LMGs: 10 rescue kills · Marksman rifles: 10 rescue kills · Sniper rifles: 10 rescue kills · Shotguns: 10 rescue kills · Riot Shield: Absorb 10,000 damage with the shield. Complete all twelve standard challenges on an eligible weapon to unlock Gold for that weapon.

Stay close enough to teammates to eliminate an opponent who is actively threatening them. Shield users should face incoming fire and build the separate absorbed-damage total.

Firearms require Rescue medals; the Riot Shield does not. Its Ocean challenge advances from damage absorbed while the shield is protecting its user.
