RoleDefault eight-round all-purpose pistol
Real-world basisSoviet Makarov PM service pistol
StrengthsOne more standard round than the ASP and M1911; Broad pistol attachment menu for aimed, suppressed or Dual Wield use
TradeoffsStill relies on several accurate shots rather than revolver-style per-shot pressure; Dual Wield removes aiming down sights
Attachments and setupDual Wield, Upgraded Iron Sights, Extended Mags and Suppressor are available; Choose Suppressor for a stealth backup or Extended Mags when capacity is the recurring problem
Challenge noteBO1 weapon challenges are separate from camouflage. Camos are bought per eligible primary with earned CoD Points rather than unlocked through a weapon challenge.
Use tipKeep the Makarov ready for a primary that runs dry, but do not expose yourself for a full pistol duel if cover allows a reload or rotation.
Compared withIt carries more than the other default pistols; the later Python hits harder per shot and the classified CZ75 carries 12 rounds.
