How does the M72 LAW play in Black Ops 1?

RoleDefault dual-purpose single-shot launcher
Real-world basisAmerican M72 LAW light anti-armor weapon
StrengthsFree default access and both free-fire and lock-on capability; Useful emergency answer to either a position or an aerial streak
TradeoffsOnly one rocket is carried; Many aircraft deploy flares, and the default load has no reserve rocket for the follow-up
Attachments and setupNone. BO1 launchers do not use weapon attachments; The class decision is whether one flexible rocket is more useful than a specialized launcher
Challenge noteBO1 weapon challenges are separate from camouflage. Camos are bought per eligible primary with earned CoD Points rather than unlocked through a weapon challenge.
Use tipChoose the target before exposing the launcher. With no reserve shot, wait for a clean lock or clear line rather than spending the only rocket on a low-confidence attempt.
Compared withIt is more flexible than the lock-only Strela-3; the RPG carries a second rocket but cannot lock onto aircraft.
