How does the IMR play in Advanced Warfare?

RoleFour-round-burst rifle with reserve regeneration
Real-world basisA fictional or substantially redesigned Advanced Warfare assault rifle; no exact production counterpart is asserted
StrengthsIt fires four-round bursts and gradually replenishes reserve ammunition; The IMR has a defined four-round-burst rifle with reserve regeneration purpose instead of being treated as interchangeable class filler
TradeoffsThe regeneration does not rescue a missed burst during the fight, and burst timing still limits immediate corrections; The IMR still depends on route choice and first-shot discipline in Advanced Warfare's fast Exo-movement fights
Build and setup guidanceUse a clear sight picture and a control or handling choice that matches the lane length; Do not stack range-oriented choices when the route is mostly inside; preserve a responsive first shot
Challenge noteThe IMR uses the ar post-patch challenge profile. Gold is a separate final challenge, then Diamond requires every camouflage challenge on this weapon. Personalization camos and Sentinel do not count.
Progression tipCamo progress is stored on the IMR. Its Diamond completion counts toward Royalty because it is a camo-eligible launch weapon.
Camo tipUse the reserve-replenishment trait to stay supplied between engagements, but center every four-round burst as if ammunition were scarce.
Compared withThe ARX-160 fires three-round bursts; the IMR adds a fourth shot and its unusual reserve-ammo system.
