How does the ARX-160 play in Advanced Warfare?

RoleRange-focused burst assault rifle
Real-world basisNamed for the Beretta ARX160 rifle platform, adapted to the game's future setting
StrengthsEach trigger press sends a three-round burst, giving the rifle a deliberate ranged cadence; The ARX-160 has a defined range-focused burst assault rifle purpose instead of being treated as interchangeable class filler
TradeoffsA poorly centered burst creates a recovery window that a full-auto weapon can exploit; The ARX-160 still depends on route choice and first-shot discipline in Advanced Warfare's fast Exo-movement fights
Build and setup guidanceUse a clear sight picture and a control or handling choice that matches the lane length; Do not stack range-oriented choices when the route is mostly inside; preserve a responsive first shot
Challenge noteThe ARX-160 uses the ar post-patch challenge profile. Gold is a separate final challenge, then Diamond requires every camouflage challenge on this weapon. Personalization camos and Sentinel do not count.
Progression tipCamo progress is stored on the ARX-160. Its Diamond completion counts toward Royalty because it is a camo-eligible launch weapon.
Camo tipSettle the reticle before each burst and move only after the burst has cleared the sightline.
Compared withThe IMR uses four-round bursts and replenishes reserve ammunition; the ARX-160 uses a simpler three-round cycle.
