How Advanced Warfare camos unlock

Advanced Warfare has fourteen regular challenge camos followed by a separate Gold challenge on each eligible weapon. The post-patch totals vary by class and, within Specials, by MDL, Crossbow and M1 Irons. Complete every weapon challenge including Gold for Diamond; earn Diamond on the required base weapons in a category for Royalty. Heavy Shield has no camo track. M1 Irons has its own final challenge profile, and the twelve later Supply Drop weapons were released only on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Checked and current — July 2026.

Combat Knife is the no-secondary melee fallback, not a normal selectable weapon platform or guide page; the reconciled roster therefore contains 49 weapon guides.

Some historical references show 33 camouflage categories because one gallery/category page is counted with the finishes. Advanced Warfare has 32 actual selectable weapon finishes.

14 camos are catalog additions outside the ordinary per-weapon progression ladder. AE4 and Ohm are paid DLC weapons, M1 Irons was a free all-platform title update, and twelve later weapons were limited to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The 14 non-progression finishes document original personalization or promotional access without promising universal current availability.

Diamond & Royalty mastery

Diamond — complete every camouflage challenge, including the separate Gold challenge, on one camo-eligible weapon. Specials resolve separately for MDL, Crossbow and M1 Irons; Heavy Shield is ineligible. Royalty — earn Diamond on every Royalty-required base weapon in one weapon category; DLC and update weapons are not required. For Specials, MDL and Crossbow are required, Heavy Shield is excluded, and M1 Irons is post-launch.

Digital Edition bonus

Sentinel is an original Digital Edition bonus rather than an earned camouflage. Its surviving availability depends on the platform account and entitlement.

Prestige does not replace the per-weapon camo route described here. Gold, Diamond and Royalty progress through weapon challenges, while Total Camo Mastery awards the Weapons Master Exo cosmetic rather than another final gun camo.

Advanced Warfare released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. AE4, Ohm and M1 Irons reached all five platform versions; the later STG44-through-1911 Supply Drop group was added only to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, not PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
