MW4’s Campaign unlocks eight base Operators: Cho, Dallas, Luca, Oh-Ji, Kal, Dunn, West and Park. They are earned at different mission milestones, with Park listed after mission 16. Activision says Campaign rewards become usable in Multiplayer and DMZ when the full game launches on October 23.
MW4 Campaign Operators: All 8 Unlock Requirements

Campaign unlocks at a glance
- The official reward graphic lists missions 1, 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 16.
- These are base Operator unlocks. Do not treat every skin, preorder bonus or achievement as part of the same reward.
- Use the mission requirement for the character you want; an Operator’s position in the written rewards list is not its mission number.

Which Campaign missions unlock each Operator?
The table follows the explicit mission numbers printed on Activision’s official reward graphic. The accompanying October 16 Campaign announcement supplies the eight base Operator names.
| Operator | Complete Campaign mission | Mission title in recorded menu |
|---|---|---|
| Cho | 1 | Mayhem |
| Dallas | 4 | Hired Gun |
| Luca | 7 | Traffic |
| Oh-Ji | 9 | Assassins |
| Kal | 11 | Stranded |
| Dunn | 13 | Counter Attack |
| West | 15 | Entrenched |
| Park | 16 | Greater Good |
Mission numbers come from the official graphic; titles were checked in October 15 recorded menu footage. Earlier-build text can change. The article spells the names Cho and Oh-Ji; its graphic prints CHOW and OHJI. We retain those original image labels.
How do you earn the Campaign Operators?
Complete the mission shown for your chosen Operator, then check its unlock requirement and your mission-completion record. Collecting all eight takes you through the mission-16 milestone; earlier characters have earlier requirements.

Do you need Veteran difficulty or extra challenges?
The checked graphic and recorded unlock text specify completing a mission, without adding a difficulty, kill quota, collectible or achievement condition. We have not tested every difficulty: check your current reward requirement before choosing a harder setting solely for an Operator.
When can you use them in Multiplayer and DMZ?
The published use date is the October 23 full launch. Qualifying digital preorders can play the Campaign from October 16; although DMZ early access starts October 20, Activision’s Campaign reward announcement does not promise earlier use there.
Does finishing the Campaign also give you Price or Ghost?
Price and Ghost are not among the eight base Operators in this Campaign reward list. Their Vault Edition Operator pack has its own purchase conditions. Do not confuse a character appearing in the story with the unlock condition for that character’s playable version.

What should you plan after the Operator unlocks?
Plan your next weapon or camo goal with our MW4 camo reference and MW4 service listings. Our Campaign Rewards service now covers full Campaign completion on your PSN or Xbox account for $39.99, with an estimated 1–2 day delivery once access is ready. Weapon Leveling and camo services remain separate, ordering-closed prelaunch listings.
