How do you unlock the MP-40?

The MP-40 uses Airborne Division Prestige 1 instead of a normal rank unlock in Call of Duty: WWII (2017). It fills the close-route automatic primary role in the final Submachine Guns catalog. Its fully automatic action rewards controlled tracking and a deliberate release before the sight drifts. This guide stays with stable mechanics and progression instead of patch-sensitive damage or range numbers. Its camo track finishes at Copper (Earn 5 Bloodthirsty medals). Complete every camo challenge on it and Gold unlocks. Earn Gold on every camo-eligible launch weapon required in its category for Diamond. Complete the required base-game class mastery route to earn Chrome.

How does the MP-40 play in WWII?

Roleclose-route automatic primary
Real-world basisIn-game WWII-era weapon depiction; no unsupported one-to-one real-world specification is asserted.
StrengthsThe MP-40 has a clear close-route automatic primary identity; Its fully automatic action rewards controlled tracking and a deliberate release before the sight drifts
TradeoffsThe fully automatic timing still has to match the range and cover available; A poor route can erase the intended advantage of this submachine guns entry
Useful setupPrioritize ready speed and a clear close-range sight picture, then use cover to shorten each approach; Do not spend the whole build trying to imitate a rifle; protect the compact route where an SMG can keep pressure on target
Challenge noteComplete the nine base patterns and five class-adjusted special challenges on this weapon to earn Gold. This launch weapon belongs to the original Diamond and Chrome scope.
Progression tipGold is per weapon, Diamond covers every base-game weapon in a class, and Chrome covers every base-game class. Gold Leopard, Gold Cheetah and Chrome Tiger are later weapon-prestige mastery finishes with class-specific exceptions documented in the camo directory.
Camo tipUse the MP-40 from a route that gives its fully automatic action time to complete, then move before repeating the same angle.
Compared withCompare it with the M1928 in the same class: both share a catalog slot, but the MP-40's fully automatic cadence needs its own timing.
