WWII Lewis

How do you unlock the Lewis?
The Lewis belongs to the starting Create-a-Class pool in Call of Duty: WWII (2017). It fills the sustained-fire lane weapon role in the final Light Machine Guns catalog. Its fully automatic action rewards controlled tracking and a deliberate release before the sight drifts. This guide stays with stable mechanics and progression instead of patch-sensitive damage or range numbers. Its camo track finishes at Copper (Earn 5 Bloodthirsty medals). Complete every camo challenge on it and Gold unlocks. Earn Gold on every camo-eligible launch weapon required in its category for Diamond. Complete the required base-game class mastery route to earn Chrome.
Reviewed August 31, 2026. Release, Supply Drop, Headquarters, currency and Prestige systems were checked against Activision material. Event weapon additions were reconciled against official Call of Duty posts; the complete weapon/camo catalog and class-adjusted challenge table were checked against archival references. Setup advice avoids patch-sensitive numeric claims.

How do you unlock the Lewis in WWII?
The Lewis is available through the base Create-a-Class progression in Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer. The level cap is 55, and prestige is ten standard Multiplayer Prestige levels followed by Master Prestige progression; Division and weapon Prestige are separate systems.
How do you unlock camos on the Lewis?
Camo progress is per-weapon. Frogskin through Ambush scale headshots, one-shot kills, scorestreak vehicles or melee kills by class. M1916, Snow, Cheetah, Bronze and Copper use class-adjusted special objectives. Gold completes one weapon, Diamond completes a base-game class and Chrome completes every base-game class. Weapon Prestige later adds Gold Leopard, Gold Cheetah and Chrome Tiger. Supply Drop, event, Multiplayer Master Prestige, Nazi Zombies and promotional camos are not prerequisites for Gold, Diamond or Chrome. On the Lewis the final tier is Copper — Earn 5 Bloodthirsty medals. After that, Gold needs every camo challenge on the weapon done, and Diamond needs Gold on every camo-eligible launch weapon required in its category, and Chrome requires mastery across the base-game weapon classes.
