How do you unlock the RPD?

The RPD is available once Create-a-Class opens at Level 4 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It is a steady belt-fed LMG with a 100-round magazine, strong damage at every range and high penetration. A Grip turns it into a dependable lane-control weapon, but its extremely long reload demands preparation. It suits players who establish a position, manage the belt carefully and move only when there is time to reset. Its camo track finishes at Fall (250 headshots with this weapon).

How does the RPD play in MW2 (2009)?

RoleSteady belt-fed lane-control light machine gun
StrengthsStrong damage remains consistent over distance; Grip produces a low-recoil lane-control setup
TradeoffsVery long belt reload leaves the user exposed; Heavy movement and aiming make sudden close fights awkward
Useful setupGrip lowers recoil for sustained head-level bursts; Red Dot Sight makes the firing point easier to read on long lanes
Camo tipHold one busy lane at a time and fire in short bursts from head height. Reload before the belt is empty and only when teammates or cover protect the long animation.
Compared withIt is steadier than the L86 LSW with a Grip, while the L86 fires faster and returns to action sooner after reloading.
