How do you make progress toward Red Ring?

Equip the named Ammo Mod on the source weapon before counting the required Zombies eliminations.

Since Season 2, you can equip an already-unlocked Special camo on another weapon after earning any five Military camos on that weapon, including a combination across modes. That equip rule does not remove the nine-Military prerequisite for earning this Special camo.
