How do you unlock Gold?
Gold in the original COD4 (2007) is a class-mastery finish, not a universal camo for every gun. Complete every Marksman and Expert challenge across a weapon class to unlock Gold on its designated weapon: AK-47, Mini-Uzi, M60E4, M1014 or Dragunov. The Gold Desert Eagle is separate and unlocks at Level 55 with no challenge.

A bright reflective metallic-gold finish designed to stand out rather than blend into a map.
How do you make progress toward Gold?
Work through default weapons while ranking up, then clear the class's late unlocks. Red Tiger on every weapon is the practical completion check because headshots also count as kills and the final Expert totals meet or exceed each Marksman requirement.
Gold targets are AK-47 for seven assault rifles, Mini-Uzi for five SMGs, M60E4 for three LMGs, M1014 for both shotguns and Dragunov for five snipers. The MP44 has no attachment challenges and contributes through its Expert headshots only.
