COD4 Desert Camo

How do you unlock Desert?
Desert is available by default on all 22 camo-compatible primary weapons in the original COD4 (2007). There is no headshot requirement, challenge or XP reward. Create-a-Class must be open at Level 4 and rank-locked weapons must still reach their own unlock level.
What does Desert camo look like?
A light desert pattern built from sand, tan, cream and pale gray blotches. Exact coverage changes with each weapon model.
How do you make progress toward Desert?
Select Desert directly after unlocking the weapon. If it is missing, confirm that you are viewing an eligible primary rather than a pistol or the RPG-7.
Desert and Woodland are independent default choices. Neither adds headshots toward Digital or the later Expert milestones.
