How do you unlock the Riot Shield?

The Riot Shield is available once Create-a-Class opens at Level 4 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It is built for objective pressure, distraction and teammate cover. It blocks bullets from the front and can reduce frontal explosive damage, but the user moves slowly and remains exposed from the sides, rear and during poorly timed turns. Its shield bash normally requires two hits in multiplayer. It does not take camo.
