How do you unlock the .410 Ironhide?

The .410 Ironhide was added after launch in Season Six in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It fills the close-entry secondary role in the Shotguns catalog. Its lever-action rhythm should determine when you commit, reset and move. This guide stays with stable handling, access and camo progression instead of patch-sensitive damage or time-to-kill numbers. Its camo track finishes at Bliss (Get 2 or more rapid eliminations 25 times in Multiplayer). Complete every camo challenge on it and Gold unlocks. Its Gold does not count toward the original Diamond requirement; both this weapon's Gold and the launch-weapon class requirement must be complete before Diamond can be equipped on it. This post-launch weapon does not increase the original Dark Matter Ultra requirement; its own camo challenges and the account-wide base-game mastery route must both be complete to equip Dark Matter Ultra.

How does the .410 Ironhide play in Black Ops Cold War?

Roleclose-entry secondary
Real-world basisBlack Ops Cold War in-game weapon; no unsupported real-world equivalence is asserted.
StrengthsThe .410 Ironhide has a clear close-entry secondary identity; Its lever-action action gives the route a repeatable timing cue
TradeoffsThe lever-action timing still has to match the available range and cover; A poor route can erase the intended advantage of this shotguns entry
Useful setupBuild for the room and route you intend to enter; Avoid open crossings where attachments cannot erase the range limit
Challenge noteComplete all 35 Multiplayer camo challenges on this weapon for Gold and all 35 Zombies challenges for Golden Viper. It does not increase the original class quota, but its own camo challenges must be complete before mastery can be equipped on it.
Progression tipMultiplayer and Zombies use separate 35-camo ladders per weapon. The class and all-class mastery finishes are also separate by mode.
Camo tipUse the .410 Ironhide from a route that gives its lever-action action time to work, then move before repeating the same angle.
Compared withCompare it with the Streetsweeper in the same class: both cover close-entry secondary space, but the .410 Ironhide's lever-action timing needs its own route.
