The Barrett .50cal unlocks at Level 49 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It combines the R700's strong upper-body multipliers with semi-automatic follow-up fire and a 10-round magazine. It can eliminate several targets without cycling a bolt, but severe recoil makes uncontrolled rapid shots inaccurate. The weapon works best when its fire rate is treated as insurance, not an invitation to spam. Its camo track finishes at Red Tiger (150 headshots with this weapon).

Camo progress is per-weapon. Every camo-eligible weapon earns Digital (25 headshots), Blue Tiger (75 headshots), Red Tiger (150 headshots) in order — headshots are cumulative, so one grind clears the whole ladder. Shotguns use a reduced ladder: 25 / 50 / 100 headshots. On the Barrett .50cal the final tier is Red Tiger — 150 headshots with this weapon.
