How do you unlock the AK-74u?

The AK-74u unlocks at Level 28 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It combines MP5-like damage and fire rate with penetration comparable to an assault rifle. It is strong on tight routes where enemies use thin cover, but it has more idle sway than other SMGs. In the original game, adding a Red Dot Sight or Silencer also gives it the wider hip-fire spread of an assault rifle. Its camo track finishes at Red Tiger (150 headshots with this weapon).

The AK-74u unlocks at Level 28 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer. The level cap is 55, and prestige is console only (up to 10). PC has none.

How do you unlock camos on the AK-74u?

Camo progress is per-weapon. Every camo-eligible weapon earns Digital (25 headshots), Blue Tiger (75 headshots), Red Tiger (150 headshots) in order — headshots are cumulative, so one grind clears the whole ladder. Shotguns use a reduced ladder: 25 / 50 / 100 headshots. On the AK-74u the final tier is Red Tiger — 150 headshots with this weapon.
