Operators, Operator skins and weapon blueprints from MWII (2022), MWIII, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 are staying in Warzone for the MW4 era, but legacy weapon camos are not. Call of Duty has corrected its September 24 carry-forward announcement. The destination matters: the announcement covers Warzone, not a promise that those items enter MW4 Multiplayer or DMZ.

What changes for legacy weapon setups?
From MW4 Season 1, older weapons sit in Warzone’s Legacy loadout tab. Legacy Gunsmith and prior custom loadouts are unsupported. A five-attachment version of each legacy base weapon will be unlockable through the Armory; legacy blueprints keep their existing attachment setups. Read the weapon restrictions.
For your next grind, separate two questions: “Do I like this cosmetic?” and “Do I want to tune this exact weapon build?” They are different reasons to spend time or money. If the build is the whole attraction, check the restrictions before treating an unlock as a future loadout plan. If the appearance is what you want, check whether that exact reward is eligible before deciding to finish the remaining work.
Does the Operator toggle remove your skin?
No. Warzone’s optional filter changes other players’ non-MW4 appearances on your screen, including squadmates, while preserving your own chosen appearance. It defaults to off and does not control anyone else’s display. Official toggle explanation.
Choose an Operator because you like playing with it. Buying one mainly to control what every other player sees is a poor reason to spend. The same applies to chasing a cosmetic simply because an unfinished collection bothers you: pick something you actually want to equip.
Is a BO7 camo grind still worth finishing?
Finish a BO7 camo for the game where you can use it, not to carry that legacy camo into the new Warzone chapter. Our suggestion is to judge the exact reward and remaining work, rather than rush through every unfinished challenge. Start with a short checklist:
- Name the reward. Write down the camo or weapon you want, rather than a vague target such as “finish BO7.”
- Name its intended use. Decide whether your priority is enjoying BO7 now, using an eligible legacy item in Warzone, or starting a new MW4 goal.
- Check your progress. Identify what is already done before comparing another session with paid help.
- Set a stopping point. Choose one result you would be happy with. A new announcement does not oblige you to complete a whole game’s collection.

What should you check before buying help?
Compare the service with the task left on your account. Ask which reward is included, which platform it supports, how the session works and whether the price covers time played or a completed result. A service for one mode should not be assumed to finish another mode’s challenge.
For a current BO7 goal, compare Boss’s BO7 services and read the individual offer before ordering. If you want Costume Party specifically, the Costume Party camo options separate single-mode and full-event scope. Confirm the remaining event window and your platform with support before purchase.
Keep the job tied to what is actually being earned in BO7. Do not buy an older-game camo expecting it to carry into the new Warzone chapter, or assume an unlock will work in an unannounced MW4 mode or guarantee future weapon strength.
What if you are changing platforms?
Activision says Warzone progression and content bought with COD Points can follow the same linked Activision account to supported platforms. Unspent points have platform restrictions; moving an account does not make every currency balance interchangeable. PS4 and Xbox One Warzone support ends with the new Season 1 chapter. Before spending, confirm the account you currently use and the platform you intend to play on. Keep a private note of those choices and check the linked accounts yourself. Do not put passwords or recovery codes into a general planning checklist.
What is still unconfirmed?
The legacy-camo exclusion is confirmed. The announcement does not set out the Armory requirements for every legacy weapon or its future competitive strength. Wait for those details before planning a loadout or grind.
